Digital Illustration: Candy Box Design

For this assignment, I completed Project 3 from the end of the Against the Clock textbook, creating an original artwork for candy packaging. I came up with the name Caramel Charms (I was mainly inspired by Sugar Daddy, and reading CC libraries got me thinking about something with CC).

The design uses warm caramel colors, soft gradients, and rounded shapes to make the box feel sweet and friendly. One of my main goals was to make something visually cute while still following the structure of a real box layout. Working directly in Illustrator helped me get more comfortable with messing with everything. Overall, this project helped me understand how packaging designs are planned across a flat template and how important placement and balance are when the design folds into a 3D form. (And here is a 3D mockup.)
